PINZOLO

Pinzolo, framed by the majestic Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the location of the Hotel Canada. With its 3,156 inhabitants, Pinzolo is the main town in Val Rendena. Its privileged, spacious, and sunny location, at about 800 meters above sea level in the flattest area of the valley, has made it one of the most renowned tourist destinations in Trentino.

The origins of the village date back to the year 1000, as evidenced by the church of San Vigilio, but real tourist development began in the late 1960s, with the construction of the first ski lifts on Doss del Sabion. Since then, Pinzolo has become an ideal destination for families and tourists, attracted by the beauty of its natural surroundings and the quality of hospitality, enhanced by modern facilities and efficient services.

An interesting curiosity: the bell tower of Pinzolo, built between 1865 and 1867 in tonalite, is the tallest in Trentino, at 72 meters. This imposing structure dominates the village and the upper Val Rendena, adding an additional element of charm to the locality.

VAL RENDENA

The Val Rendena is located in the western part of Trentino, framed by the Brenta Dolomites (UNESCO World Heritage) and the Adamello and Presanella mountain ranges. It stretches for 30 km, from the village of Tione to the Campo Carlo Magno Pass, which connects it to the **Val di Sole**.

The valley offers various experiences: the lower part, up to Pinzolo (800 m above sea level), is ideal for relaxation holidays, while Madonna di Campiglio (1,550 m above sea level) is perfect for sports activities and higher altitudes. The Sarca River flows through the valley, offering picturesque views.

A large part of the territory is part of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, the largest protected area in Trentino, with a network of trails leading to high-altitude refuges. The Val Rendena is administratively divided into 13 municipalities, including Pinzolo, Carisolo, and Madonna di Campiglio.

Once agricultural, today the valley mainly thrives on tourism, both summer and winter, with destinations like Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio at the heart of its tourist offer.

MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO

When staying at the Hotel Canada, don't miss the opportunity to visit Madonna di Campiglio, known as the "Pearl of the Dolomites". Located at 1,550 meters above sea level, just 13 km from Pinzolo, it is easily accessible by car or the modern cable car. Its location, between the Dolomites and the Adamello mountain range, makes it famous worldwide.

The tourist vocation of Madonna di Campiglio dates back to the second half of the 19th century, when it became a favorite destination for nobility and the bourgeoisie, including Princess Sissi. The Habsburg Carnival, still celebrated today, recalls those glorious times.

The real development began after the war with the first ski lift in 1947, attracting skiers to the famous slopes of Spinale, Pradalago, 5 Laghi, and Grostè. Among the symbols of Madonna di Campiglio, the Canalone Miramonti slope stands out, home to the prestigious 3Tre, a World Cup Alpine Skiing competition held in December, drawing enthusiasts from all over the world.

IL PARCO ADAMELLO BRENTA

A large part of the Val Rendena is included in the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, the largest protected area in Trentino, established in 1967. The park encompasses the Dolomitic mountains of Brenta and part of the Adamello-Presanella massif.

From the Hotel Canada, the park is easy to reach, where water creates spectacular landscapes: the waterfalls of Val Genova and Vallesinella, the sources of the Rio Bianco in Stenico, and the magnificent Lake Tovel. Ancient glaciers light up the peaks of Adamello, Presanella, and Brenta.

The park promotes nature conservation and sustainable development, combining conservation, scientific study, and responsible tourism. It can be explored by mountain bike on a circular route or on foot, following the trails around the Dolomites of Brenta.

TERME VAL RENDENA

In the historic center of Caderzone Terme, about 4 km from the Hotel Canada in Pinzolo, you will find the Terme della Val Rendena Fonte Sant’Antonio. Famous since 1660, the thermal water from the spring is classified as oligometallic with a ferruginous type, enriched with valuable trace elements such as lithium and selenium.

The distinctive characteristics of the ferruginous water make it particularly suitable for the treatment of various conditions:

  • Hydropinic treatment: for hyperuricemia, gout, digestive disorders, urinary stones, ......
  • Respiratory tract treatment: for the treatment of chronic catarrhal pharyngolaryngitis, vasomotor rhinitis, recurrent tonsillitis, .....
  • Ozonized hydro-massage: indicated for the treatment of peripheral vasculopathies, venous and lymphatic insufficiency of the lower limbs, ...
